LB Water Recognized by Frederick County Board of Commissioners

Frederick, MD – The new LB Water Frederick, MD location was recently recognized by the Frederick Board of County Commissioners for their business leadership and outstanding contributions to the economic vitality of Frederick County. The company relocated to a larger, more efficient facility in September 2013 to meet their regional customers’ growing needs.
The new facility features 4,500 square feet of office space, 15,000 square feet of warehousing and over eight acres of inventory storage.
LB Water has been instrumental in improving the quality of waterworks infrastructure in Maryland by improving the security, safety and availability of affordable drinking water. The Maryland Rural Water Association (MRWA) recently named LB Water “Associate Member of the Year” for their commitment to the goals, programs, activities and services of their organization.
With the mission of providing seamless sales, support and services from the ocean to the bay and the mountains, LB Water has demonstrated its ability in “Making Water Work,” which promotes and improves the economic and environmental vitality of Maryland.
LB Water is a value added distributor of waterworks infrastructure products for the Mid-Atlantic region, including water metering technologies, water infrastructure, sanitary sewer, stormwater and environmental—erosion/stabilization. They are a 100% employee owned organization, voted in the Top 100 Places to Work in Pennsylvania for two consecutive years. Founded in 1970 by Lehman B. Mengel, the company now employs 165 people at eight locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.
