HERSHEY, Pa. – LB Water, an industry leader in supplying waterworks-infrastructure solutions to cities, counties, municipalities and businesses throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, hosted a vendor-partner summit September 26-28 at The Hotel Hershey.
The business meeting included 50 professionals representing 28 waterworks industry manufacturers and distributors. They were hosted by 39 LB Water team members. The objectives for the summit included communication, collaboration and celebration.
Through a series of meetings and leisure activities, LB Water cultivated strategic relationships with its business partners and explored how the company can better serve the water, wastewater and stormwater industries. At the summit, LB Water also unveiled its five-year strategic plan to increase profits, expand its service area and broaden the services and products the company provides.
Adhering to a philosophy that "the only thing separating us from our competition is our people," LB Water is a 100% employee owned ESOP company, and values continuous employee development. During the summit, the company talked with vendors about its employee values and the successes that have resulted from those principles.
Since LB Water's last business-partner summit, which was held in San Antonio in 2013, the company has: expanded to eight locations; launched two new affiliated companies – 540 Technologies, Inc.™ and S3 Stormwater Solutions Source; increased its number of employees by 42 percent; and increased sales by 38 percent.
Between business sessions, summit attendees had an opportunity to enjoy golf and trap shooting, relax with chocolate-inspired spa services, sample flights of warm drinking chocolates from around the world, and tour the Hershey area, complete with a visit to the nearby Hopewell Iron Furnace National Historic Site.
"The LB Water team was thrilled to host this event. The summit was a great opportunity to enrich our vendor partnerships and celebrate our 'sweet success, '" said LB Water President and CEO Shawn Pulford.
