LB Water Announces New Board Members in 2022

LB Water is pleased to announce new appointments to its Board of Directors. The Board of Directors guides LB Water in its development and constitutes representatives of LB Water’s surrounding communities. Current members of the Board are James App, Chairman of the Board; Bill Everly, Sr.; Matthew Markunas; Mark Pulaski, CPA; and Walt VanNuys.
LB Water extends a sincere welcome to its newest Board Members, Tim Apple and Malena Moore Gittler.
When asked about the additions, James App responded, “It is my pleasure to welcome two new members to the Board of Directors for LB Water. In keeping with our succession planning, the addition of Malena and Tim, both who have strong business backgrounds, will provide positive input, helping to make and keep LB Water a premier distributor in the waterworks industry.”
Tim attended Shippensburg University, earning his B.A. in Management/Marketing, and the American Institute of Baking, Kansas State University. He currently serves as a Board Member for Northumberland National Bank and Evangelical Community Hospital, as well as a Church Council member for Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisburg, PA. From 1988-2006, Tim worked at Butter-Krust Baking Company. In 2006-2012, Tim was the Zone Vice President for Sara Lee Corporation, followed by Director of Sales for Bimbo Bakeries USA in 2012-2020. As of 2021, Tim currently works for Contrast Communications.
“I enjoy learning, new challenges, and meeting and helping people become the best they can be,” Tim said, “I love the culture at LB Water. I am excited to learn more about LB Water and find ways to help it continue to grow and prosper”
Malena is a Senior Instructional Designer with Penn State’s World Campus Learning Design. Over the course of 10 years, Malena worked as a workplace learning and instructional design consultant to address training and learning needs of corporations, the federal government, and higher education institutions. Success with these varied audiences requires that she be adept at utilizing alternative learning strategies. Malena worked briefly with LB Water to establish a foundation for a new training program. Formerly, Malena worked as a sales specialist in both the insurance and pharmaceutical industries. She earned a M.S. and Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from Penn State and a B.S. in Business Administration from Bucknell University.
“I love creating learning experiences that help people develop skills and gain knowledge to enable them to reach their goals,” Malena stated, “I love the hard work and integrity that everyone at LB Water demonstrates. I am very excited to advise LB Water on increasing human capital as they continue to grow and prosper.”
